Standard Blond Archtop. The Archtop guitar is the pinnacle of guitars. These fine instruments exhibit the highest levels of craftsmanship and tone. The Standard model shown here is a simple yet sophisticated instrument. While it doesn't have binding on the body it is not without appointments. The archtop is a new instrument for me, but is also my passion. These encompass all of what I have learned over the years as a craftsman and allow the artist side to come out. Archtop makers have all kinds of cool names for their guitars and some day I suppose I will as well. For now, it is simply the Standard and Standard Plus model. In the near future, I'm going to be adding a laminate Jazz / Rockabilly guitar to the lineup. This clip was recorded by George Brunson from the Mogollon Band with this very guitar. |
